The Seahawk golf team, coming off its convincing victory at the County Chanpionship tournament, had a flat outing at Fairway Hills in Columbia.  Broadneck managed to win the District 5 title, with a score of 321, one stroke ahead of South River and Severna Park.  Senior Josh Eure led the team with a score of 71, followed by Senior Andy Wolf and Sophomore Garrett Harding with 83's and Sophomore Dylan Luiza with an 85.

Since two teams from the District advance to States, the tournament committee determined that South River and Severna Park would have a sudden death playoff for the final spot.  The Seahawk golfers rose to the challenge on the first playoff hole with Harding securing a birdie and teammates Eure, Luiza and Wolf each parring the hole to beat Severna Park by 2 shots.

The team will play the final regular season Anne Arundel County match at Walden on Monday, October 13.
