GIRLS BASKETBALL BEATS BROADNECK, FALLS TO SEVERN

BROADNECK SENIOR HIGH: 63
The girls basketball team jumped out to a twenty point lead against rival Broadneck on Friday night beating the Bruins 63-55 in league action. Lauren Spadaro led the Seahawks with 18 points while Domonique Hegins and Aleeyah Hopkins posted double figures.
On Saturday the Seahawks dropped a 48-29 decision to Severn. After getting off to an 11-2 start the Seahawks could not find offensive rhythm. The girls will face Damascus and Centreville, VA this coming weekend in the first South River Holiday Shootout. Both South River games are at 3pm.
