Charlie Hardesty took to the mound to lead the host Seahawks to a 3-1 victory over the visiting Dawgs from Southern. Hardesty pitched 6.1 scoreless innings before surrendering to Bryan Shores to close out the game. Hardesty yielded just two hits and 3 walks while striking out 5 batters.
Offensively it was the day for middle infielders as Joe Scott and Gabe Vertucci each had two hits including a double. Scott opened the 4th with a double down the left field line. Craig Sheridan then reached on an error. Vertucci then doubled to right center to score both Scott and Sheridan. Vertucci later scored on an error to cap the 3 run inning.
