BROADNECK SENIOR HIGH: 2
The Seahawks made a terrific stand against the defending 4A State Champion Bruins. After giving up two runs in the first inning, the Hawks were able to hold Broadneck scoreless over the next six innings. Junior Melissa DeBari pitched all seven innings of the game and was one of only two baserunners for the Seahawks. Sophomore Melanie Long also reached base off of an error from a bunt. Sophomore Ashleigh Ruggiero led the Seahawks defensively with seven putouts and two double plays. Juniors Samantha Callahan and Kayla Kurczewski made defensive stops in the outfield. Way to go Hawks!
