The South River JV team traveled to Old Mill High School for the second game of the season on a warm sunny afternoon.  The Seahawks were immediately pressuring the Patriots goal taking several shots on goal in the first minutes of the game.  The Old Mill keeper played an excellent game stopping every South River attempt on goal in the first half resulting in a scoreless halftime.  Madison Barrata broke the scoring drought with a thirty yard shot over the outstretched hands of the Patriots keeper for a 1-0 Seahawks lead.  Five minutes later, Claire McElhenny passed to Sami Moreland in the box who fired a shot past the keeper for a 2-0 lead.  McElhenny gained her second assist when she passed to Princess Talbott on the right who lofted a twenty-five yard shot over the keeper for a 3-0 South River lead.  The Patriots keeper made numerous saves throughout the half and the Seahawks settled for a 3-0 final.  The Seahawks outshot the Patriots 27-1 for their second win of the season.
