South River opened their home schedule on a cloudy day against the North County Knights. The Seahawks dominated play from the opening kickoff and had several shots on goal in the first minutes of the game. The Knights keeper kept the game scoreless until Jayqueline Natoli scored unassisted to give South River a 1-0 lead. The Knights keeper kept North County close with several good saves until Natoli scored from twenty yards out to give South River a 2-0 lead which they took into halftime. South River continued their strong play in the second half continuing to press the Knights keeper. Madison Baratta pushed the lead to 3-0 when she curved a corner kick untouched into the goal over the keeper. Natoli obtained her hat trick when she shot from close range for a 4-0 lead. Late in the game Evelyn Stevens scored in a scrum for a 5-0 South River final. The defensive line of Madison Baratta, Molly Youmans, Kaley Feldhausen, Zoe Racette and Cristina Young held the Knights to zero shots on goal while South River managed thirty-seven shots and ten corner kicks in the game.
