South River welcomed the Bulldogs of Southern High School to Edgewater for their tenth game of the season.  The Seahawks started the game hard and pressed the Bulldogs keeper in the first minutes of the game.  Bella Cerza broke the scoreless tie five minutes into the game scoring unassisted for a 1-0 Seahawks lead.  Three minutes later Gabby Holbert took a pass from Alex Hagen and shot past the keeper to make the score 2-0.  Hagen scored unassisted two minutes later for a 3-0 lead.  Excellent play by the Southern keeper kept South River from adding to the score until Parry Wilson scored off an assist from Anna Ballard at the 32 minute mark. One minute later Natalie Boyd took a pass from Kelsey Racette and fired past the keeper for a 5-0 halftime lead. In the second half the Southern defense buckled down and held South River scoreless until Boyd scored her second goal of the game off an assist from Sammie Colletti at the 49 minute mark  The Seahawks were unable to add to the lead and settled for a 6-0 final score.
