The Falcons of Severna Park came to Edgewater to play the Seahawks.  Severna Park started hard and pressured the Seahawks defense for much of the first fifteen minutes of the game.  South River then reversed the trend and pressured the back line of the Falcons for the next twenty minutes.  The first half ended with a see-saw battle in the midfield without either team able to put a shot on goal.  The second half started with play on both sides of the field again with neither team able to put any hard shots on the keepers.  As the second half progressed, the Seahawks pressured the Falcons back line and were awarded some well earned corner kicks.  With twelve minutes left in the game, Cherie Dowden passed a low corner kick into the box which Ana Ippolito received and shot, hitting the crossbar and bouncing down over the keeper into the goal.  With South River holding the 1 - 0 lead, Severna Park pushed hard for the equalizer keeping much of the play in front of the Seahawks goal.  The Falcons managed one hard shot on goal that was smothered by Maddie Dubois and South River escaped with the narrow victory.
