The Girls Indoor Track Team finished 3rd place behind Meade and Chesapeake Saturday evening January 31, 2009 at Prince Georges Sports and Learning Complex. 

A few highlights:

LaRel and LaRia Rogers beat the field placing first and second in the 300 meter dash, respectively.

Karlee Zywusko ran her personal best of 2:35.87 and placed 6th in the girls 800 meter run.

The Girls 4x200m relay (The Rogers, Jennifer Whitfield, and Katie Reamy) finished second, they also broke their previous school record of 1:49.18 by running 1:47.84.

Lamar Rogers placed 2nd in the 55meter dash only losing by one/one-hundredths of a second to the runner from Meade.  He also finished 4^th in the Shot Put.

Joshua Hirakawa jumped his personal best of 5”10” in the high jump giving him 3rd place.  He also finished 5^th place in the 55 meter hurdles.

The boys 4x800 (Ryan Glynn, Richard Pineda, Chad Moeslein, and Ryan Kleintank) finished in 6^th place.

Everyone ran hard and they should be extremely proud of their accomplishments!

The next competition is the Regional meet on Monday, February 9 at 4pm.  It will be held at the Prince Georges Sports and Learning Complex.
